FedEx Pods

In early December 2019,  elite|studio e was contacted by an operator because it had been awarded the FedEx portfolio. The majority of the portfolio, which includes six facilities, is located in and around Memphis. As part of the contract, an overall investment for renovations amongst the various locations, which was to be used 

within the frst year of operation. elite|studio e was onboarded for projects that included major renovations, renewals, interior design, foodservice design and mobile solutions.

 

The pod style food court (see rendering), is made up of several sustainable and temporary structures. The initial build out is made up of the same components, but each one is customized in terms of equipment necessary for the offering (including electrical and plumbing), fnishes specifcations and the brand is portrayed with magnetic signage. 

At FedEx, the pods will be in place for several years as a master plan in the works for a renovation food hall in a nearby building. However, in lieu of temp service, which is essentially disposable, FedEx now owns these pods and, with the help of our professional installers, will be able to relocate them around the campus where additional or temporary foodservice may be needed in the future.

The corridor in the rendering pictured is currently under construction and will house the pod style food court plan. Opening is slated for late 2022.
