CDPHP is a health insurance company that decided to renovate their new office space. As part of this renovation, they carved out an area for a smaller employee cafe that included a single coffee bar and a grab-n-go. They also wanted a back of house suitable for the cafe’s menu along with the building’s catering needs. 

elite | studio e was introduced to the project and provided a design that would allow for a successful operation. Since the pandemic, the amount of workers in the office each week has decreased and become unpredictable from day to day. To adapt to this change, employers are reducing their foodservice footprint to fit the new working schedules. They need to provide meal options for their employees without inducing an inefficient setup and cost. Many businesses are remodeling their foodservice areas into smaller setups, but are still keeping a large back of house kitchen in order to continue offering a variety of cuisines.The trend also helps the companies so they can cater larger events when necessary.
