In early December 2019, elite|studio e was contacted by the operations team at FedEx portfolio. The majority of the portfolio, which includes six facilities, is located in and around Memphis. Various renovations had to take place within a short time frame.

elite|studio e was asked to complete robust refreshes at five locations as well as plan for larger renovations to take place later in the year. The refreshes were considered Phase 1 of the overall investment efforts. Starting with initial site visits in mid-December, our team worked with the operator, as well as FedEx site leads and their preferred contractors, to design, manage, communicate and implement these projects. The goal was to begin installation within two months of first contact. 

As a result of this tight timeline, each of these refreshes took place over the course of two weekends. The scope in each location varied, but the solutions included: 

• Station revamps

• New soup/salad island

• Custom millwork

• Food guards

• Equipment replacement 

• Laminate fascia

• Pendant lighting

• Paint

• Electric

• Plumbing

• Carpentry

The refreshes at all five FedEx locations were completed by March 22, 2020.
