Bank of America Plaza

Atlanta, GA

As the Bank of America café was planning to undergo a major renovation, the operator had just begun to roll out its new brands. The combination of the design and branding would reimagine the dining experience in this location now called Marketplace 600.

To help execute Marketplace 600, an interior design firm, architect firm and elite|studio e partnered with the operator. Our teams coordinated to ensure the design intent of each station was conveyed. In addition, we collaborated on signage and graphic locations, materials used and equipment specifications to create the overall look and foodservice design.

Of note, is the coordinated efforts involved to install the decorative shroud around the Market Fresh island. The chain link shroud, the soffit and our millwork below it all needed to align so the edge of the chain link married up directly to the edge of the millwork. To ensure this went off without a hitch, our project managers made several template site visits to spray paint the floor showing where our counter would be located so the general contractor could build the elements above to match the architect’s request.

Our efforts also extended to the roads outside of Bank of America. In order to receive large deliveries as the building could not handle them, we shutdown Peachtree Street, a well-traveled road in Atlanta that features shopping, cafes and some government buildings. Part of our role was to work closely with a variety of parties to ensure all permit documents, detour maps, specifications of road blocks and signage were all correct and submitted to the city for approval.

In order to make a project of this size and scope happen, every team at elite | studio e was involved, including Marketing, Interior Design, Project Solutions, Foodservice Design and Project Administration. In addition, when it came time to install Marketplace 600 one of our project managers relocated to Atlanta for two and a half months and we had multiple team members onsite to provide grand opening support.

From concept to completion, our team was dedicated to the creation of

Marketplace 600. We are proud to be part of this showcase account which opened
in March 2018.
